Democratic Senator Bob Menendez And Wife Indicted On Bribery Charges
With all the (deserved) attention on Trump and the Republicans, it’s good to see the DOJ setting their sights on corruption within the Democratic party, too. Detailed report on New Jersey senator Bob Menendez’s indictment is above from CNN.
There are of course some exceptions, but most of the ghouls in congress are corrupt and deserve to be thrown out, if not locked up. Menendez was already charged with bribery in 2015, but he managed to escape conviction thanks to a hung jury (the guy who bribed him was convicted of fraud and sentenced to 15 years in prison), so let’s hope they’re able to fry his ass this time. Menendez faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
