South Carolina “Research Lab” Where Monkeys Escaped Accused Of Abuse And Inhumane Treatment
Probably not a surprise, but a whistleblower is now speaking out against that so-called research lab where 43 monkeys escaped earlier this month after someone allegedly left a door open. Report above via Fox Carolina, and here’s more via ABC:
Animal rights groups have cited the company’s history of violations and previous monkey breakouts; a member of Congress has called for an inquiry into its oversight by multiple federal agencies; and residents voiced concern the furry fugitives might spread disease throughout their community. On top of it all, Alpha Genesis founder and CEO Gregory Westergaard told ABC News his company is investigating whether the release of the monkeys was “an intentional act” by an employee.
So, the evil and corrupt animal abuser who owns the lab (which is funded by our tax dollars) is speculating that the monkeys might’ve been released deliberately by an employee who was secretly an activist, which is a great and fun surprise. Now just shut the whole place down and lock up the crooks who run the torture site.
