Target To Remove LGBT Merchandise From Stores Ahead Of Pride Month

Target is removing certain items from its stores and making other changes to its LGBTQ merchandise nationwide ahead of Pride month, after an intense backlash from some customers including violent confrontations with its workers. Target declined to say which items it was removing but among the ones that garnered the most attention were “tuck friendly” women’s swimsuits that allow trans women who have not had gender-affirming operations to conceal their private parts.
This is a good if not sad reminder that corporations, obviously, do not care about you. Never did. Never will. Their only objective is to make money, and while colorful LGBT-themed clothing might’ve been an easy way to profitably pander for a while, all of it (and all of you) can just as easily be thrown into the garbage when negative word-of-mouth gets too loud. And by “negative word-of-mouth,” we’re talking about QAnon-adjacent brain-dead bigots making videos on TikTok about bathing suits for trans women. The feigned outrage machine is nothing new in modern life, and once the “controversy” made its way into mainstream media and the mouthbreathing cable news viewers caught wind of the…bathing suits(?)…it was all over for LGBT Pride at Target. Meanwhile, there’s a priest and/or a teacher literally raping one of those cable news viewer’s kids right this very minute, but he’s not wearing a rainbow t-shirt, thank God.
The bigots’ attacks on Target over Pride merch have been going on for years. The video below went viral over a year ago, and as bad as Target is for caving to these psychopaths, you have to absolutely love the girl in this video. “Do you support the Satanic Pride propaganda?” “Uhh, yeah. Both.”
