Tennessee Mom Charged With 18 Counts Of Statutory Rape After Sex With 9 High School Teens

This is one seriously fucked up mother, who was basically running a sex trafficking ring out of her small town’s high school in Tennessee. The victims’ ages range from 14 to 17, and while the mom wasn’t a teacher at the high school where all the teens went, she was a booster club member and had a child of her own at the school. In addition to the nine boys she allegedly raped, authorities say there are “inevitably more victims” who are adults now and/or who are too ashamed to come forward. The mom has also been charged with four counts of human trafficking by patronizing prostitution due to the fact that she traded vape pens with some of the teens in exchange for sex. Good lord. An Englewood woman faces 23 charges in McMinn County for having sexual encounters with male students at McMinn Central High School, according to McMinn County Sheriff Joe Guy.

Melissa Blair, 38-years-old, is charged with solicitation of a person under age 18, 18 counts of statutory rape, aggravated statutory rape, 4 counts of patronizing prostitution, and forfeiture of personal property.

According to a press release, Sheriff Guy says Blair was communicating with them “on social media, arranging meetings with them, and trading items for sexual encounters with them.”

There are 9 male victims with incidents occurring from Spring 2020 to late 2021, the Sheriff says. 7 of the victims are minors, two were victimized as minors but are now adults, according to a press release.

MCSO suspects there may be more victims who were minors at the time but are now adults, according to a press release. The Director of McMinn County schools says this investigation started after an anonymous letter was put into his office.

Sheriff Guy says the MCSO received a referral from the Tennessee Department of Child Services on December 9th, 2021 about Blair’s sexual encounters with high school boys.

More parents and victims contacted the Sheriff’s Office after a referral from the Department of Children’s Services. The Sheriff says investigators searched Blair’s home and now a grand jury has handed down an indictment.

The mom posted $100,000 bail and is now awaiting trial in McMinn County criminal court.

Here’s the mom and her husband during happier times, along with several comments (none of which are confirmed to be accurate) people posted on Facebook.
