Texas State Rep. Admits He Has No Evidence Of Students Using Litter Boxes During Hearing On Anti-Furries Legislation
Via Mediaite:
Texas State Rep. Stan Gerdes (R) conceded on Wednesday that he had no evidence of schools providing litter boxes to students who identify as cats, despite making the allegation to support a proposed bill to ban furries from the classroom.
If this sounds familiar to you, that’s because the exact same fucking thing happened with another Republican lawmaker in a completely different state over three years ago. This country is a farce, being run by brain dead MAGA grifters who write “laws” based on alt-right conspiracy theories they see on social media.
Video of the hearing:

And here’s the idiot’s tweet announcing the bill, with a community note attached to it telling everyone that he’s completely full of shit:
Our Texas classrooms should be places of learning, not distractions. That’s why I’ve filed HB 4814, the FURRIES Act (Forbidding Unlawful Representation of Roleplaying in Educational Spaces) to ensure that public schools are not accommodating or allowing disruptive “furry”… pic.twitter.com/SMOSDKePJg
