Thirst Trap Recap: Which Of These 13 Gay Porn Stars Took The Best Photo?
We begin this week’s Thirst Trap Recap with some very bad news: Twitter is no longer allowing tweets with adult photos/videos to be embedded. I’ve gone through dozens of accounts that post adult content (including Str8Up’s), and any time you go to embed a tweet from one of these accounts featuring an adult video, you’ll see the below message:
Because Elon Musk fired most of Twitter’s employees and no one there has any idea what they’re doing (remember when they said everyone with “legacy” blue checks would have the checks removed on 4/1? yeah, that never happened), whoever is left at the company now put up the incorrect message in response to me trying to embed my own tweet (featuring an XXX video), which reads, “Sorry, we can’t create an embed for that. It may have been deleted or made private.” That’s obviously not true, as my tweet is not deleted nor private, but that’s the message you now get whenever trying to embed a tweet featuring adult content. There’s probably a legal reason for this (perhaps something to do with people complaining about seeing XXX videos outside of Twitter, even though the content is still hosted on Twitter’s servers?), but we may never know why.
So, going forward, the Thirst Trap Recap will no longer feature videos (unless videos are allowed to be embedded again), and all embedded videos in previous TTRs now show up as broken links, sadly.
With all that said, I’m happy to report that all TTR winners this year so far have been from gay porn stars who posted photos, not videos, so all of their winning entries will still be eligible for the Thirst Trap King contest at the end of 2023.
