The question I often ask when posting these stories (which typically happen at least once a week): Do you know of any Christian pastor, baptist, priest, or other religious leader who hasn’t sexually abused someone? I do not. This is the sole reason why pastors/priests exist: To rape and torture people while hiding behind God.

Shane Wiggins was the pastor of Baldwin Baptist Mission Church in Louisiana, and he was arrested last week on charges of rape and child molestation. Via Morgan City Police Department:

On December 17, 2024, the Morgan City Police Department received a complaint from a mother of a child who accused Shane Phillip Wiggins of inappropriate behavior with the juvenile stemming from an incident that occurred in the past few years. During the investigation, interviews with the victim and witnesses were conducted. The suspect, Mr. Wiggins, refused to speak with detectives. With victim statements and witness accounts a warrant for Mr. Shane Wiggins was issued by a district court judge. Detectives learned Mr. Wiggins had moved from his residence and was no longer able to be contacted by phone. Information led detectives to believe Mr. Wiggins left the state at which time officers began focusing on a search around Paris, Texas. Detectives collaborated with deputies with the Lamar County Sheriff’s Department and officers with the Paris Police Department to look for the suspect’s vehicle. The Texas officers located Mr. Wiggins driving his vehicle in Paris Texas. He was notified of the arrest warrant and placed under arrest. Mr. Wiggins was then transported to Lamar County Corrections where he awaits court proceedings for extradition.

Want this to stop? Parents who bring their children into churches must be charged as accomplices to the pastors’ crimes.
