Trailer For Boring Wonka Movie Starring Timothée Chalamet
Today in Hollywood Is Still Dead news, it’s time for yet another reboot/remake/regurgitation of a beloved movie from over 50 years ago. In fairness, 1971’s Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory was itself an adaptation of the Roald Dahl book, but that first movie was still original with dark themes and great acting. This latest reboot, lazily titled Wonka, features a horribly miscast Timothée Chalamet—who has zero charm and none of Gene Wilder’s commanding presence—and doesn’t appear to feature any of the story or characters we came to love from the iconic original. Veruca, Violet, and Augustus are rolling over in their graves. This is way too boring for little kids, and has none of the wit and dry humor for adults. So, the target demographic is…no one? And I thought Barbie was going to be the worst, most overrated movie of the year. Here’s the snooze-inducing Wonka:
