Trump’s Georgia Arraignment To Be Televised
The arrest (and possibly a mugshot) is coming later today, and next month during Trump’s arraignment, cameras will be in the courtroom, the state judge has ruled. Via The Hill:
The state judge overseeing former President Trump’s Georgia case ruled that cameras will be allowed in the courtroom for the defendants’ arraignments, marking the first time that one of Trump’s criminal proceedings will be televised.
Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee on Tuesday granted a request from four local television stations to bring in live cameras and other recording devices in his courtroom through Sept. 8.
Keep your fingers crossed that the mugshot is released later this afternoon. I don’t think he’ll be smiling in the photo, but will instead be making a scowling/stern face to try and look “tough” and resolute. Hopefully the camera flash will catch him off guard and he’ll look deformed or have one eye half open and his mouth drooping.
