U.S. Air Force Member Dies After Self-Immolating Outside Israeli Embassy In Protest Of Palestinian Genocide
The NBC article quoted below is calling this an “apparent protest,” despite the fact that U.S. Air Force member Aaron Bushnell literally said, “I’m about to engage in an extreme act of protest” before setting himself on fire outside the Israeli embassy in D.C. Bushnell died shortly after the self-immolation:
The U.S. Air Force member who set himself on fire outside the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C., in an apparent protest against the Israel-Hamas war has died, according to a U.S. official. The airman was identified by police as 25-year-old Aaron Bushnell of San Antonio, Texas.
Note how they say Bushnell’s “apparent protest” is against the “Israel-Hamas war,” when he in fact clearly specifies that he “will no longer be complicit in genocide.” He’s obviously referring to the Israeli genocide of Palestinians in Gaza that’s been supported by the United States, and while his protest is disturbing to watch, he’s correct in stating that it’s nothing in comparison to what people have been experiencing in Palestine. Bushnell’s livestream is here, and a CNN report is here:
I can’t believing I’m saying this, but Aaron Bushnell’s last words were just read live on CNN. pic.twitter.com/wdbbBsTHgW

You have to love how they say they won’t show the video because it’s “extremely graphic,” and yet CNN has been showing Israel’s bombing of Gaza every single day for the last four months.
