Onto the news…move over Trump, because we may have a new biggest loser in American political history:
That video above was from earlier today, when the House of Representatives was voting to remove Kevin McCarthy as Speaker. And following that successful vote, the United States of America, the so-called “greatest country on earth,” no longer has a Speaker of the House, who’s second in line to the presidency. Via CNN:
The US House of Representatives has voted to oust Rep. Kevin McCarthy in a historic vote on Tuesday.
The vote on the motion to vacate was 216-210 with eight Republicans voting to remove McCarthy from the speakership.
The Republicans who voted to oust McCarthy were: Andy Biggs, Ken Buck, Tim Burchett, Eli Crane, Matt Gaetz, Bob Good, Nancy Mace and Matt Rosendale.
The House will now need to elect a new speaker, but there is no clear alternative who would have the support needed to win the gavel.
No House speaker has ever before been ousted through the passage of a resolution to remove them.

Democrats could’ve saved McCarthy, but they were wisely united in voting to oust McCarthy, in turn showing Americans that the majority party Republicans are worthless agents of chaos unable to govern and lead. I don’t see a new Speaker being elected anytime soon (who on earth would be stupid enough to want that job, with ghouls like Matt Gaetz threatening your every move?), and the government is once again set to be shut down next month—in the middle of a raging pandemic and ongoing economic meltdown.
