After Being Fired For Sexually Assaulting A Porn Star, Chi Chi LaRue Will DJ A Mental Health Group’s Event Supporting Porn Stars
In 2020, porn director Chi Chi LaRue was fired from his job as a director for Mile High Media’s NoirMale after performer Papi Suave (above, left) accused a drunken LaRue of sexually assaulting him in a hotel room during production of a movie. Now, two years later, LaRue is being promoted as the DJ for a porn star drag queen contest produced by Pineapple Support, a therapy and mental health service supporting adult industry sex workers. As seen below (LaRue is pictured at the bottom right) and identified by Pineapple Support on the image, there will be “music by DJ Chi Chi LaRue” at the event benefiting porn stars in West Hollywood next month:
It’s not known why Pineapple Support—a group whose sole purpose is to provide therapy and support for sex workers—would include LaRue as part of an event benefiting porn stars’ mental health, given that LaRue was fired from working with porn stars because of the alleged harm he inflicted on at least one porn star’s mental health. What kind of message is Pineapple Support sending to sex workers by putting someone who’s been accused of assaulting them (and literally banned from working with them) on their advertisement for a charity event?
Following the sexual assault allegation in 2020, LaRue admitted to excessively drinking and inviting Papi Suave to a hotel room, where LaRue says he “expressed feelings” for Suave. LaRue, who was directing Suave in a NoirMale movie at the time of the alleged assault, couldn’t confirm or deny Suave’s claim that LaRue forced his hands down Suave’s pants while telling him, “I’m going to make you a star.” Instead, LaRue said, “I do not remember the events playing out exactly as [Suave] describes.” Regardless, LaRue was terminated days after Suave went public, and LaRue has since gone on to publicly trash Suave in social media videos and interviews.
“I guess these days you have to believe the victim. And the company I had a regular directing gig with, Noir Male, let me go because of it,” LaRue complained in an interview just three weeks ago when asked about Papi Suave’s accusations.
Last year, LaRue showed no remorse for his behavior and instead expressed hostility towards Suave in an Instagram video, telling viewers that Suave made up the sexual assault claim “to get attention.”
Since being fired, LaRue has had a handful of guest directing gigs at third-rate studios, and was given his own studio line via DragonMedia. That venture, “ChiChiLaRaw,” failed within weeks of launching and has since been shut down.
NakedSword/Falcon, led by longtime LaRue friend Tim Valenti, has been the only mainstream studio willing to still hire LaRue as a director, and LaRue worked on a movie for the company last month. NakedSword/Falcon is, of course, the lead sponsor of the drag queen porn star contest with Pineapple Support. As of post time, Pineapple Support has not responded to a request for comment on LaRue’s involvement with their event.
