Fired Director Chi Chi LaRue Says Model Papi Suave Lied About Sexual Assault “To Get Attention,” Blames Performer For “Taking Away” His Career

Last June, performer Papi Suave came forward with his story of being sexually assaulted by a drunken Chi Chi LaRue during production of a Noir Male movie in California. The incident took place in LaRue’s hotel room, where LaRue told Suave he would “make [him] a star” before LaRue forcefully shoved his hands down the model’s pants, according to Suave.

One week after the accusation was made against him, LaRue—who, as Suave’s director, was effectively his boss on the production—admitted to drinking excessively and sexually harassing Suave in the hotel room. At the same time, LaRue said he didn’t “remember the events playing out exactly as [Suave] describes,” but he did say that it became “awkward” after LaRue “expressed feelings” for Suave. Following the partial admission/denial, LaRue was permanently suspended by Noir Male pending an investigation into the allegations by parent company Mile High Media.

Today, LaRue is taking a more hostile approach by directly blaming his firing on Suave, his alleged victim, and saying that Suave “waged a little bit of a war against me.”

“[Suave said] that I sexually abused him one day when I was intoxicated,” LaRue recalls in a two-part Instagram video. LaRue then not only doubles down on denying Suave’s allegation, but takes it a step further by calling Suave a liar (LaRue labels Suave’s statement as “perpetuating a lie”) and stating that he made up the sexual assault claim “to get attention.”

“He went really far, and I believe that he went really far like that to get attention,” LaRue says.

LaRue goes on to blame Suave for ruining his career, telling his Instagram followers, “A lot of studios don’t want to work with me. The business I have devoted over half my life to has been taken away from me…I guess that’s kind of what [Papi Suave] wanted.”

Whatever you believe and whatever you think of Chi Chi LaRue, at least he was able to partially deny Suave’s accusation in that first response last summer in a relatively respectful manner (“I do not remember the events playing out exactly as he describes”). But now, LaRue—who, again, has already admitted to drunken sexual harassment—paints Suave as the aggressor who “waged war” and “perpetuated lies” about sexual assault in order to “get attention” and “take away” LaRue’s career.

LaRue could’ve based his plea for work and a second chance in the industry solely on the talent he thinks he has or his history as an award-winning director. Instead, now broke and desperate after six months of unemployment—with no apparent chance at reclaiming his job with Noir Male—the true nastiness of LaRue emerges. Papi Suave is the attacker, and poor Chi Chi LaRue is the innocent victim.

Here’s part one of LaRue’s video:

LaRue concludes his video in part two below by asking literally anyone for work, but clarifies that he wants to return to working in porn, not some retail job. “I need work,” LaRue begs, adding, “And I don’t wanna go to work at Costco or at a shoe store.” Who knows, maybe Treasure Island Media is hiring? That’s where Topher DiMaggio ended up.
