Kyle Ross And Max Carter Announce Departures From Helix Studios
It’s the end of an era at Helix Studios, as the two twink performers who appeared in close to 200 gay porn scenes and helped make Helix a household name throughout the 2010’s have announced that they’ve both quit working for the twinkcentric gay porn studio. I’m talking of course about Kyle Ross and Max Carter, and the former powercouple (they broke up several years ago) made separate announcements this week revealing that they’ve both decided to part ways with Helix.
Kyle Ross went first, telling his Twitter followers that it was time for him to “take on new challenges more aligned with my personal goals and aspirations…outside of Helix Studios”:
As you might recall, Kyle Ross retired from performing in Helix scenes back in 2020, but he had still been working behind-the-scenes in an administrative role with the studio for the last three years. But, that’s over now, too.
Blond twink Max Carter was up next, posting his own resignation tweet a few hours later. In that tweet, Max thanked Helix for giving him “a good start,” adding, “I will always be appreciative of my time there”:
Like Kyle Ross, Max Carter hadn’t appeared in a Helix scene since 2020, but he had been working as a director for the studio for several years. Also, sources have confirmed to Str8Up that Max Carter actually stopped working for Helix in November of last year, but there was no public announcement made back then. Perhaps Max saw his ex’s announcement this week and felt it was a good time for him to finally break the news.
Max Carter and Kyle Ross began filming with Helix in 2011, when the studio was based in San Diego, California and being run by owner Keith Miller, who’s still in charge today. While Kyle Ross stuck with Helix for 12 years straight, Max Carter strayed away, briefly, to film a handful of scenes with rival twink studio CockyBoys in 2014 and 2015. Both stars remain active today on OnlyFans, of course, but there’s been no news yet of working with other studios. With Kyle Ross and Max Carter gone, the new longest running stars still working with Helix are Aiden Garcia and Josh Brady, who’ve each been filming since around 2015.
