Exclusive: Gay Porn Star Blu Kennedy Sentenced To Five Years Probation After Pleading Guilty To Child Porn Charge
After over two years of court proceedings following his arrest on child porn charges in 2017, the case against former gay porn star Blu Kennedy is now closed, with sentencing handed down in a California courtroom last week. Kennedy (legal name Benjamin Martin) has been sentenced to five years of probation after pleading guilty to aiding and abetting the possession of child pornography, and here were Kennedy’s sentencing documents filed last week:
As you’ll recall, it was Kennedy’s former boyfriend, Billy Lockhart (as seen below, with Kennedy), whom Kennedy was aiding and abetting. Lockhart—a resident at UCSF’s Department of Psychology who uploaded and traded child pornography on campus using UCSF Wi-Fi—was sentenced to three years in prison for possession of child porn, and he’s scheduled to be released in September of 2020.
Kennedy—who also faced a possession charge in the original 2017 indictment, but that charge was later dropped—had been facing up to 10 years in prison for aiding and abetting his boyfriend, so five years of probation is an obviously lenient sentence.
In addition to the probation, Kennedy was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment, but the court waived the fine after determining that Kennedy was unable to pay.
