[Updated] Buddy Profits Uses Gay Porn Star Who Committed Suicide To Promote “Easter Surprise!” Sale
Of the hundreds of gay porn stars they could’ve picked, Buddy Profits (the affiliate program that handles billing processing for Raging Hot Falcon, Pride Studios, NextDoorStudios, etc.) chose Rylan Knox to advertise their “Easter Surprise!” sale. Rylan Knox hanged himself last April.
Buddy Profits even went so far as to Photoshop bunny ears and a bunny tail on to his ass in this image, which will serve as a pop-up on all Buddy Profits sites for, presumably, the entire Easter weekend.
Rylan Knox’s suicide made headlines across the gay blogosphere last year, so it’s hard to comprehend how or why anyone would choose to create an ad like this. At best, the person who made the ad was woefully ignorant of Knox’s death. At worst, it’s someone’s idea of a sick joke.
