But it was Carlson’s comments about Fox management, as revealed in the Dominion case, that played a role in his departure from Fox, a person familiar with the company’s thinking told The Post.
“Do the executives understand how much credibility and trust we’ve lost with our audience?” Carlson wrote to a colleague in a message a day after Fox, like other media outlets, called the election for Joe Biden.
In another message, Carlson referred to management with an expletive: “Those f—–s are destroying our credibility.” He later wrote: “A combination of incompetent liberals and top leadership with too much pride to back down is what’s happening.”
CNN Fires Don Lemon, Tucker Carlson Out At Fox News
We have a cable news bloodbath to start the week, as Fox News’ #1 white supremacist and pathological liar has been ousted, while CNN has fired the bumbling misogynist whom they recently demoted to a disastrous morning show.
Tucker Carlson—who spent his time on air spreading election lies, peddling racism, and lambasting woke M&Ms—is out at Fox immediately, with his last program having aired on Friday night. Via CNBC:
Right wing primetime host Tucker Carlson is leaving Fox News immediately, the cable network announced Monday.
The announcement came days after Fox News’ parent company settled Dominion Voting Systems’ defamation lawsuit for $787.5 million. The company’s hosts were not required to talk about the lawsuit, or make an apology for it, as part of the settlement, CNBC previously reported.
“FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways,” the company said in a statement on Monday. “We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.”
There will be no sendoff for Carlson, as his last program aired on Friday. Carlson had signed off on Friday stating he would be back on Monday.

Carlson’s ouster is clearly related to the Dominion suit (he regularly gave airtime to lunatics spouting election lies), but the Washington Post reports that his comments about Fox management played a role in his parting ways with the right-wing “news” channel:

Meanwhile, over at CNN, it’s the end of the line for vitriolic clown Don Lemon (whose firing I predicted back in February, although I gave him six more months), who posted the below tweet in a funny blue font, claiming he’d been terminated without any notice. The news comes after Variety published a story earlier this month on allegations that he mistreated his female colleagues over the course of his career there. And earlier this year, he faced backlash over widely criticized comments he made on-air.
CNN CEO Chris Licht said that the network and Lemon have “parted ways,” according to a memo provided to NBC News Monday.
“Don will forever be a part of the CNN family, and we thank him for his contributions over the past 17 years,” the statement said. “We wish him well and will be cheering him on in his future endeavors.”

Given how desperate CNN is for ratings, I could easily see them giving Tucker Carlson a show. That is, after all, the network that launched his deplorable career with “Crossfire.” As far as Lemon’s future, not even Fox would stoop to hiring him. He’ll end up doing a podcast or something, or maybe he can join fellow disgraced CNN anchor Chris Cuomo at NewsNation, whatever that is.
