Cybersocket Magazine Thinks That Max Carter Is Retired Gay Porn Star Max Ryder
Cybersocket is probably only known for its annual gay porn awards party in West Hollywood, but did you know they also put out print magazines? It’s true! The print magazines are mostly just collections of studio ads, sex toy reviews, and porn star Q&As, and in the December issue, Helix performer/director Max Carter landed the cover, along with a brief bio inside. Except, Cybersocket thinks his name is Max Ryder, not Max Carter. (Carter and Ryder, seen above, did perform together in CockyBoys Answered Prayers several years ago.) Images of the print mag were shared on Twitter by a Helix employee today:
Max Ryder is, of course, the former CockyBoys model now known as George Alvin. I doubt they have an actual copy editor on staff, but you have to wonder how many people (assuming there is more than one?) working at Cybersocket saw this and completely missed the error.

Obviously, there’s no way Cybersocket can fix the mistakes as all the hard copies are already out. But hey, at least they got Max Carter’s dog and boyfriend’s name right?
Landing a cover of a print magazine used to be a big deal for gay porn stars, but it doesn’t really mean much now. Ironically, exponentially more people will see Cybersocket’s error online via Twitter and this blog post than the tiny handful who might see it in person. Speaking of which, I thought about trying to find a hard copy of Cybersocket magazine to see the errors in person, but I have no idea where I can actually find a Cybersocket magazine.
