Exclusive: Gay-For-Pay Porn Star Ty Roderick Jailed For 10 Months On Domestic Violence Charge Involving “Dangerous Weapon”

You can only outrun the law for so long. Gay-for-pay porn star Ty Roderick was charged with domestic violence using a “dangerous weapon” in Portland, Maine all the way back in 2008, and in early 2009, he was found guilty and sentenced to 60 days in jail and two years probation. (The incarceration term was actually for 364 days, but the judge suspended all but 60 days of the sentence.) It’s not known how or why, but Roderick either didn’t serve the 60 days and/or violated his probation back in 2009, and he’s been a fugitive from justice in Maine for over a decade. But, last month, Roderick returned to the northeastern state to face the music, and because he evaded authorities for 12 years, that 60-day sentence has turned into a 290-day sentence.

Here’s Roderick’s criminal docket from Cumberland County, Maine, as obtained exclusively by Str8Up, which cites his 2008 arrest, 2009 conviction, and recent 2021 incarceration for 290 days:

Someone purporting to be Ty Roderick’s mother began tweeting from Ty Roderick’s Twitter account yesterday, and in addition to announcing Roderick’s incarceration, they asked followers to send in donations. According to the tweets, people who send in money to Roderick will in turn receive a letter, a phone call, or an address, “depending on donation.” Presumably, these letters and phone calls would be from Roderick, not Roderick’s mother, but it’s not clear what kind of address would be given to donors. Roderick’s prison address is publicly available, so it’s not clear why someone would pay money for this. Is the mother going to give out her or Roderick’s home address?

If Ty Roderick’s request for financial assistance following an incarceration on a domestic violence charge feels familiar, that’s because it is. As you’ll recall, Roderick was jailed in Las Vegas, Nevada on a completely separate domestic violence charge and probation violation back in 2016. During that time behind bars for assaulting someone, Roderick’s fans gave him $2,100 via GoFundMe, which he proceeded to spend on new shoes, weed, a fancy dinner, and a night at the casino when he was released after serving 40 days.

Ty Roderick was booked into a Maine prison on June 23rd, and he’s currently scheduled to be released on April 9th, 2022. If you or someone you know has been a victim of domestic violence and need assistance, click here.
