Former gay porn star Tex Davidson (who previously worked for TitanMen, RagingStallion, and more) announced to his followers this week that he’s unfortunately tested positive for the coronavirus, and he’s currently battling the virus from a hospital in Texas. As he explained in the Instagram caption below (while Facetiming with his adorable Yorkie), Davidson “started out last Wednesday with a seizure, then Friday a stroke, then tested positive for the Covid19…Listen to the doctors, we aren’t just putting ourselves in danger but our families as well as the frontline workers.”

Davidson is the first gay porn star to come forward after being hospitalized with the virus, but as of today, it thankfully appears that he’s doing better after being treated with Remdesivir, the antiviral medication that has shown to be successful in treating COVID-19.

Yesterday, Davidson told one fan that it was his “best day thus far,” and this morning, he shared the good news that he woke up “feeling full of life” thanks to the Remdesivir:

Later today, Davidson apparently became aware of porn actor Ian Frost, who endangered thousands of people’s lives last week after sharing Instagram videos from his “Meth Gala” party, in which dozens of gays violated quarantine to reportedly do drugs (the party’s DJ told people he was “still rolling” the morning after the party) at a house party in New York City. After hearing of the party, Davidson told his Twitter followers that “some of us are battling the virus as others are putting others lives in danger so they can have fun.” And in response to the idea that Frost could perhaps “volunteer” somewhere to make up for his abhorrent behavior, Davidson suggested that that won’t be enough, and that “he deserves much more”:

Using the hashtag #theswordcom, Davidson referenced gay porn studio NakedSword’s blog, The Sword, which capitalized on the Meth Gala last week by publishing four different articles about it over the course of seven days. Two of those Sword articles served as a mouthpiece for a handful of gay porn industry members—which was led by Black Balled Volumes 1-7 director Chi Chi LaRue and her personal assistant—who criticized Str8UpGayPorn for hoping that, hypothetically, infected partygoers violating the state’s stay-at-home order would die before they had a chance to kill anyone else. The Sword’s commenters soundly rejected that criticism, with an overwhelming majority calling out LaRue et al. for being defenders of the Meth Gala.

Earlier today, Davidson revealed to followers that he has been taking COVID-19 “serious from day 1,” wearing a mask and staying home until he had to go back to work:

Davidson went on to remind everyone to take every precaution they can, and that he is still unsure of how he contracted the virus:

And Davidson had a final message for those who are still refusing to follow the stay-at-home orders and continue to put others’ lives at risk: “This isn’t the time to think you aren’t going to get it…and give it to your loved ones. This is downright disgusting!”

UPDATE—May 19th, 2020:

Great news, as Tex Davidson has just shared that he’s been released from the hospital and is continuing his recovery and quarantine at home. In one week, he’ll be tested again to see if he’s negative for the virus (after symptoms subside for some patients, it can take at least two weeks before testing negative):
