The judge’s decision from earlier today:

deniedPre-trial motions regarding evidence, witnesses, and jury instructions will continue for the next month leading up to Jarec’s trial, which is set to begin on July 7th.

Since it’s a federal case, I assume he’s not staying at LA county Twin Towers jail’s infamous gay wing. He would’ve done well there. I wonder if he can see visitors at the Metropolitan Detention Center which is also in downtown LA.

    • GuyN90068

Yes, he can receive visitors at MDC. You have to be on his pre-approved list.

      • Barnaby Gil

How does one get on that list? I don’t suppose anyone know his mailing address (for his fans).

        • Todd

$ 500K and a new car (for his defense fund of course) should get you on the visitor’s list !!)

          • Myko

Surprised he hasnt got a gofund me started for when he gets out.
Wow the visiting hours schedule for that place are amazing.

If i was him, I would get booked up with as many visitors as possible.
Maybe they will let Mr Pam take a camera a crew along and do a proper prison scene…
            gurls gotta eat right ?

        • GuyN90068

Go to http://www.bop.gov/inmateloc/ , click Find By Number and enter:
68794-112. If you first send money to his commissary account he may respond.

      • sxg

I wonder if Zach has requested to be on that list!

        • Stanlee

          Probably a safe bet.

  • WillG

Just what kind of “danger” is “the community” facing if he gains access to social media? Unless he starts recruiting for ISIS, that’s absurd.

    • sxg

      Don’t know. Syphilis?

      • WillG

If you consider Grindr to be social media, then perhaps.

    • n24rc

His disregard to the courts request that there would be no media contact.

      • WillG

That’s hardly putting the community in danger, it’s only putting himself in danger of being charged with contempt of court.

        • n24rc

True. But he should demonstrate a respect for the law regardless of why it is there.

    • GN

Our dear Teofil, being a foreign born national, is likely considered a flight risk by the court. Perhaps they are afraid of having to go chasing him around Bucharest?

    • He’s been making accusations and spreading propaganda through media, that’s a danger to others who might be falsely accused of all kinds of nonsense and have their lives and careers damaged or destroyed. “The community” doesn’t mean “America”, it can mean any community he is a part of.

  • DPS

Just shows that a millionaire gets preferential treatment in court. Brank is less of a threat to the community than Ryan Rose! This is all about protecting D.B. Who ever he his *eyes rolling*.

    • GuyN90068

He’s not getting any preferential treatment. There are multiple cases of alleged extortion currently in process at CACD and they’re all begin handled the same (actually they’re being handled better which is why the lame AUSA on this case was just replaced).

      • DPS

So from what you are saying one can assume that all extortion cases end up being bail denied to the person/persons charged?

Since you seem to have knowledge of the court proceedings and processes at the CACD, how is this now being handled better? It would be interesting to gain some knowledge of the happenings in these situations and how the AUSA change was beneficial.

        • GuyN90068

No, bail depends on multiple factors. In Brank’s case all the factors point to him being a flight risk if he gets bail.

The previous AUSA was consistently unprepared at the hearings and she screwed up on document filings. The new AUSA was just assigned so tomorrow’s status conference will be a good test of his competence.

          • $151228801

I was wrong. Same lame AUSA but a new second chair for the prosecution. Today the judge again laid in to the prosecution for their document filings.

          • steve adams

Is Jarec present for these hearings? What does he look like?

          • $151228801

            Yes. Jarec.

          • steve adams

Does he look super depressed? He said he had lost 25lbs some months ago.. does that seem real?

          • $151228801

He’s been in jail for over 2.5 months so I wouldn’t say he’s joyous. I never saw him prior to his court appearances so I can’t tell by facial expressions. As to the weight; a prison jumpsuit is really baggy so there’s no way to tell.

    • rrj3323

And the pocketbook that he donates to political figures with as they run for their offices.

  • Alan Keddie

I guess that he’ll be bottoming more then…

  • n24rc

Again, if he had taken the plea deal he would be already serving the time needed to leave jail. Now he is just adding more time. “His recent behavior” – emailing media nonfactual claims? The only problem with this case is the defendant, he was caught openly extorting online. If he had taken this plea none of this would have happen.

He will continue to be his own worst enemy.

    • CA

Doesn’t this time usually get applied as time served at the end of a persons sentence?

      • n24rc

Time served is often given, however, if the crimes are egregious enough they have to still serve remaining time in jail. They’ve just added a shitload of stuff now to make this 15 years. Again, he should have taken the plea deal.

        • WillG

What “plea deal” are you referring to? I don’t recall him being offered any deal. Do you mean he should have pled guilty before the new charges, that added more time to a possible sentence, were filed?

I Googled it and could find no reference to a deal, though God knows there have been so many developments with this case it’s hard to keep track.

          • n24rc

Before the actual court date was set and trial began, the prosecution gave him an offer for the minimum sentence to avoid a prolonged process. He refused the offer, even when they have digital evidence to prosecute on the extortion charges.

          • WillG

I really don’t remember anything about that. Could you point me to somewhere it was reported? Google didn’t come up with anything.

          • steve adams

Wouldn’t it be in DB’s best interest to have Jarec accept a deal? I mean we all know who he is but he certainly doesn’t want to appear in court over this matter. I would think it would be in the best interest to get get Jarec to settle. Are they going to just let him bake in there for as long as possible then offer the deal at the last min?

          • rrj3323

DB doesn’t want his private life exposed to the cross examination skills of the Defense, so mark my words, the closer it gets to trial there will be a deal and the Defendant will accept. “Baking” goes on every day in crimes where there is a prominent victim because the State’s Attorney isn’t about to hurt DB but he wants to curry DB’s favor by “baking” the Defendant. Justice is all that money can buy and it has been that way for a long time.

          • rrj3323

What was the amount of time of the minimum sentence deal that he declined?

          • Zachary Sire

There’s been no record of a plea deal offered or discussed.

          • WillG

            I didn’t think so.

        • CA

So then yes, this time in jail is applied to his total sentence requirements if he is found guilty.

I’m not sure what you were referring to when you mentioned he would be “adding more time”.

          • rrj3323

            you are correct

    • steve adams

I wonder what the plea deal was? How can you be sure he was offered this?

  • John

I don’t know why but I am starting to feel sympathy for this Jarec….I hope he doesn’t get railroaded into the max if he is convicted…..this Burns guy can’t be trusted so I am not sure what to believe in this situation

Days are so sad and grey since Jarec is not around. Stay strong!

    • rrj3323

God I love that picture and that man above!!!

      • Brian Sky

        And I love Jarec

        • rrj3323

Then sir we have the taste to love good looking men

        • rrj3323

How do you think the trial will end in light of the new Defense witnesses that have been subponaed?

  • hugs to you jarec :(

    • n24rc

Yes, Jarec come home soon, Mr. Pam needs to get some.

      • lol – yeah i wish! gawd that boy has a gorgeous dick!!!
I just want him safe and out of jail more than I need cock 😉

        • n24rc

His penis looks like it has a turtle neck on in this photo.

        • indootje

This cock is a gift of god to this porngod

  • andrew

Sounds like they want to keep him away from social media to protect DB’s reputation.

  • DrunkEnough

So he was kept because he might post the identity of DB on the Web? If that was a crime, we’d all be dropping the soap in prison showers. (coughcough Donald Burns cough cough.)

  • FooFight

Back to the gang showers for now, Teofil.

  • czer

Jaric/Teofil is a flight risk. Any judge would have to be out of his mind to grant this guy bail. There’s no way he’d stay in the U.S. if he were out on bail. Even if forced to surrender his passport, this guy would head for, Mexico, Brazil, or Poland in no time.

  • Myko

    The Facts :
Jarec broke the law – dumb ass
He got offered a plea deal , decided to decline – dumb ass
Sent some email rant to all the porn media – dumb ass

I am taking bets on how long he gets in Jail.

    • GuyN90068

He was never offered a plea deal.

      • disqus_9xayOTnP13

Most deals start out as verbal hypotheticals.

    • WillG

As Zach confirmed below, he was never offered any plea deal.

  • rrj3323

If this were in Maryland, he will be given credit for the time served prior to any imposition of any sentence he might receive. He has made the same mistake many Defendant’s do; he needs to shut up in person, on media anywhere and let the lawyer do the talking. His ego will be his demise.

  • Cosmic

It just goes to show nothing good comes from being a greedy whore.

  • GuyN90068

I looked at the str8upgayporn twitter account and saw that a link was posted with the bio of who Zach says is the lawyer appearing for the victim….WRONG. That’s the problem with just looking at the docket and not being in court. That’s not the victim’s lawyer; just someone from the firm that notified the court of a scheduling conflict with the victim’s actual lawyer.

    • steve adams

Come on back Guy whatch’a gotta say?

  • Rickster Rickster

oh the unjust persecution of it all. not.
