Exclusive: Gamma Confirms Acquisition Of ChaosMen; Sneak Peek Of Kyle Wyncrest’s First NextDoor Scene
First, an update on the status of gay porn studio ChaosMen. As Str8Up first reported last month, a notice on ChaosMen’s site appeared to show that the Texas-based studio had been acquired by Canadian porn conglomerate Gamma (the parent company of NextDoorStudios and dozens of other studios), but at the time, neither company would comment on the potential change of ownership. Today, a Gamma rep has confirmed the news to Str8Up that ChaosMen was in fact purchased by Gamma. More details of the acquisition (including when and where content will be produced and whether or not former ChaosMen owner Bryan Ockert is still directing) are said to be forthcoming in an official statement from Gamma.
By purchasing ChaosMen, Gamma now owns over 15 years worth of content from one of gay porn’s last remaining independently-owned and gay-owned studios. Along with Corbin Fisher, Sean Cody, and Randy Blue, ChaosMen was one of the first mainstream gay porn studios to revolutionize the industry in terms of original content and casting in the early aughts. Corbin Fisher is now the only one of those studios to remain online with its original owner.

The first real sign of ChaosMen being part of the NextDoor family comes next week, when Kyle Wyncrest—one of CM’s most popular stars—will appear in a NextDoor scene. [ADDED: NextDoor tells Str8Up that Kyle working with NextDoor isn’t connected to the studio purchase, and is actually just a coincidence after he applied to film with them months ago.] The scene co-stars Johnny Ford, and it was shot at the NextDoor compound in San Diego, making this Kyle’s first shoot outside of Austin, Texas. Here’s the preview for Johnny and Kyle, which goes live here next Friday:
