Former Undead Gay Porn Star Chip Tanner Arrested In Florida For Trying To Break Into Someone’s House Again
Str8Up can report today that Chip Tanner has been arrested for at least the third time this year, once again for attempting to break into someone’s home. The former gay porn star turned temporarily dead burglar served time back in January for unlawfully entering someone’s house in Las Vegas (while simultaneously pulling off one of gay porn’s greatest hoaxes by faking his own death), and then, Tanner (a.k.a. Jamie Stroud) was arrested in July for destroying personal property valued at over $5,000. This week, Tanner’s crime spree has moved from Nevada to Florida (of course), with the quirky feces-eating performer being arrested in the retirement community The Villages for attempting to break into an elderly couple’s home.
Tanner was tasered by police while resisting arrest, and then he was briefly hospitalized before being booked on charges of burglary, resisting arrest and trespassing. Details from the Lake County, Florida police report:
Law enforcement responded at about 4:30 p.m. Sunday to the manufactured home on the shore of Paradise Lake on Tarrson Boulevard on the Historic Side of The Villages where 33-year-old Jamie Brendon Stroud attempted to enter the home through the carport, rear lanai and front door.
Stroud told police he believed he lived in the Tarrson Boulevard home he had been trying to enter. An officer called for backup and tried to subdue Stroud, who would not comply with the officer’s orders. The officer held Stroud at taser-point until the second officer arrived. He continued to resist orders from the officers and was tasered in the lower chest and stomach. An ambulance crew arrived on the scene and placed Stroud on a stretcher. He attempted to unbuckle himself from the restraints. He was given medication “to calm him down,” the arrest report said. Stroud was transported to Leesburg Regional Medical Center. Once he was medically cleared, the Kansas native was transported to the Lake County Jail where he was booked on charges of burglary, resisting arrest and trespassing. Bond was set at $2,000.
Tanner/Stroud is still facing the destruction of property charge in Las Vegas, while his first court date in Florida is set for November 1st. Bond was set at $2,000, but as of post time, nothing has been paid and Tanner remains in jail.
