Austin Wolf Mouths The Words “I’m Sorry” To Husband During Court Appearance On Child Porn Charges
This happened during Austin Wolf/Justin Smith’s initial court appearance where he was deemed a dangerous flight risk and locked up while awaiting trial on child porn charges, but I’m just seeing this new detail now. The DailyMail was in the NYC courtroom back on June 28th after Smith’s arrest, and here’s what happened as the former Men.com exclusive faced the judge and appeared to say “I’m sorry” to his husband, who was in the courtroom:
The adult entertainer, 43, real name Justin Heath Smith, walked into Manhattan federal court on Friday afternoon to face the music – before turning to his partner of 10 years in the gallery and mouthing: “I’m sorry.”
Prosecutor Getzel Berger described Wolf as a “danger to children online, danger to children offline, danger to children everywhere,” as he argued for him to be put behind bars awaiting trial.
The 43-year-old appeared in court Friday wearing a gray shirt and blue jeans, but did not walk back out as he was sent to Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center.
As Str8Up reported last week, Smith’s lawyers said he was being held in “inhumane conditions” at the MDC and had asked the judge for 24-hour house arrest at his apartment, and as the Daily Mail noted in their coverage, the judge rejected their request due to the “very troubling” charges against Smith, adding that releasing him “could not reasonably assure the safety of the community.” Smith’s first pre-trial hearing is on July 29th.
