Exclusive: David Meza (a.k.a. Sean Cody’s Francisco) Sentenced To Life In Prison For Murdering Sugar Daddy In Mexico
Str8UpGayPorn first reported on David Enrique Meza’s (a.k.a. Sean Cody’s Francisco) arrest for stabbing to death Jake Merendino in Mexico two years ago. Then, in May of this year, Meza (who also performed as gay porn star “Mario Romo” for studios like NextDoor and MormonBoyz) was convicted of that murder, while his girlfriend Taylor Marie Langston (who helped Meza attempt to cover up the murder) accepted a plea deal and was sentenced to 21 months in federal prison for obstructing justice.
Today, Meza’s sentencing hearing was held in San Diego, California, and Str8UpGayPorn can report that the former gay-for-pay porn star has been sentenced to life in prison for murdering his wealthy lover. In addition to life in federal prison for murdering Merendino (seen below, right), Meza also received a concurrent sentence of 20 years in prison for conspiracy to obstruct justice after the murder.
As previously reported, prosecutors proved that Meza murdered Merendino with the intent of then inheriting millions of dollars from the wealthy Texas man’s estate. During trial, prosecutors presented multiple forms of evidence, including Meza’s prostitution ads and gay porn videos, handwritten letters from Meza to Merendino, DNA samples, and photos of the couple in Mexico. In May of 2015, Meza slashed Merendino’s throat and stabbed him over 20 times in the chest and stomach, then dumped his body in a Mexican ravine.
Before killing him, Meza—with help from Langston (as seen above)—convinced Merendino to name him as his sole heir in a handwritten will. Then, shortly after Merendino’s murder, Meza brought the will to the victim’s Texas lawyer in an attempt to claim an inheritance as Merendino’s sole heir.
Following Jason Andrews (a.k.a. Sean Cody’s Addison), Meza becomes the second Sean Cody porn star sentenced to life in prison for murdering a gay man, and he’ll likely appeal his conviction. Girlfriend Langston, who gave birth to Meza’s daughter in 2015, is scheduled to be released from prison in December of 2018.
