Exclusive: Gay Porn Star Richard Lam (“Ludvig”) Charged With Capital Murder For Murdering TheGuySite Owner, Faces Death Penalty
As Str8UpGayPorn exclusively reported earlier this month, gay porn star Richard Lam (known by his stage name “Ludvig”) was charged with murder and grand theft auto after allegedly murdering William Futral and then stealing his car in Tampa, Florida. Futral was the owner and directer at gay porn studio TheGuySite, where Lam performed in multiple scenes.
While Lam was arrested two weeks ago in Miami following a statewide manhunt, his charging document and other disturbing case details weren’t released until today, and Str8Up can now confirm that Lam has been charged with felony capital murder, a crime punishable by the death penalty in Florida.
Futral’s cause of death had originally been described as “upper body trauma,” and the charging document reveals that Lam allegedly murdered Futral with some kind of weapon. The first degree murder charge is classified as premeditated. We also now know that the murder was committed on April 14th, although Futral’s dead body wasn’t discovered until May 1st, an unimaginable 17 days after he was killed. As Str8Up was first to previously report, a maintenance worker found TheGuySite owner’s corpse while doing a wellness check in his apartment. The case record for Lam:
As seen in the document above, Lam’s arraignment is scheduled for this Friday in Hillsborough County, where’s he expected to enter a plea. He’s currently being held in an Orange County jail, and here’s his most recent mug shot after being transferred from Miami-Dade:
It’s not yet known if the state will pursue the death penalty in their prosecution of Lam, but because he was already on felony probation for a previous domestic violence conviction, and because the new murder charge is a capital offense, Lam is more than eligible. If convicted and sentenced to death, the former gay porn star would be able to choose either the electric chair or lethal injection.
As noted below in another case detail record, Florida is still keeping Lam’s indictment sealed and Futral’s identity confidential, even though Str8UpGayPorn was already able to name him as the victim. Str8Up has requested the indictment and an explanation as to why it’s being kept sealed, but have yet to receive a response.
Earlier this month, sources confirmed to Str8Up that Lam had been living with TheGuySite’s Futral, and the two had a “volatile” relationship. During one encounter in which Str8Up’s source was at a studio meeting attended by Lam and Futral, the source could hear Lam screaming at Futral in another room before being asked to leave the building.
Since his gay porn debut in late 2020, Lam performed as “Ludvig” in nearly two dozen hardcore gay sex videos on TheGuySite. In 2021, Lam was arrested and charged with raping an unidentified man in Florida, and he was later convicted on a reduced charge of domestic violence strangulation in 2022.
