Why Did Helix Studios Hire Dominic Ford To Direct This New Series?

hx105_scene93_015.1404949042Helix Studios new series “Man On Twink” debuts today, featuring Tommy Defendi and Max Carter in a photoshoot fuckfest where, naturally, Max bottoms for Tommy. And while this is a Helix production, the entire series was unfortunately directed by Dominic Ford. On the bright side, at least he didn’t make Max or Tommy wear a pair of Google Glasses.

IMHO, Dominic Ford’s content has always been too gimmicky, too “innovative,” and–most importantly–just plain poorly shot and completely unwatchable (note the weird angles and shaky camera work in the above clip and series trailer below–why is he always shooting way too close or way too far away?). And most consumers agree with my assessment: DominicFord.com ranked dead last in a recent Alexa ranking of gay porn sites. So, why Helix hired Dominic Ford to direct something they could have easily done on their own (ten times better) is a mystery to me, but at least the cast is hot.

hx105_scene93_020.1404949046Part 1 of “Man On Twink” is out today, with the rest of the series being released throughout the summer. It’s only worth watching if you’re a die hard fan of someone in the cast, and even then you’ll find yourself fast-forwarding and/or skipping over to other scenes on HelixStudios.com that weren’t directed by Dominic Ford.
