Here Are The Gay Nominees For The Completely Meaningless 2016 XBIZ Awards
For those who don’t care or don’t have the time to scroll through seven hundred billion straight porn categories just to get to the six gay porn categories buried at the bottom of the page like a red-headed stepchild, here are the largely meaningless 2016 XBIZ Awards nominations for performers and studios from the gay side of the adult industry. Meaningless because a) the nominees are virtually identical to last year (Icon Male and Pride Studios replace Lucas Entertainment and ChaosMen in the Best Studio category; Dirk Caber, Trenton Ducati, Landon Conrad, Hunter Marx, Evan Parker, Sean Zevran, and Connor Maguire are all nominated again as Best Performer) and b) any group that nominates Nica Noelle as Best Director or Lucas Entertainment as Best Company can’t be seen as legitimate.
As I said last year, you have to wonder why XBIZ even bothers including gay porn in their annual awards ceremony. Maybe it’s to appease the straight porn conglomerates (AEBN, MindGeek, etc.) that own some of the gay porn studios? Maybe it’s just professional courtesy? Maybe they don’t want to appear anti-gay? At any rate, here are the six categories, which actually should just be four, unless XBIZ would like to explain what the difference is between Gay Studio, Gay Adult Site, and Gay Web Company. (Apparently, putting a “dot com” after a studio’s name makes them eligible for a completely separate award.) Also, as hot and as sweet as he is, was Performer of the Year nominee Landon Conrad even in any gay porn this year?
