Exclusive: Gay Porn Star Leif Derek Truitt (a.k.a. “Brodie Sinclair”) Charged With Raping 13-Year-Old Girl

The sick world of conspiracy theorist gay porn star (and the escort whom Gawker used to out former Condé Nast CFO David Geithner in 2015) just got a lot sicker, as Leif Derek Truitt (who performed in gay porn as “Brodie Sinclair” from 2006 through 2017) was arrested earlier this month in Kansas for raping a 13-year-old girl in Maryland.

Frederick County Sheriff in Maryland announced the arrest in the press release below, explaining how Homeland Security and local police apprehended Truitt in Kansas, and he’s now facing three rape charges. Records show bail was set at $100,000, but Truitt still remains in custody as of today:

With the help of the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) and in collaboration with law enforcement agencies across the U.S., police recently arrested Leif Derek Truitt, age 40, of Austin, Texas, on Feb. 7, 2022. Truitt is currently in custody at the Johnson County Adult Detention Center, Olathe, Kansas, on charges of three counts of rape.

In 2021, FCSO detectives received a sexual assault complaint from a Frederick County underage, female. Through the course of the investigation, detectives determined that Truitt, who posed as a teen, allegedly met with the complainant several times, and performed sexual acts.

With the help of the Department of Homeland Security – Homeland Security Investigations Frederick, agencies in Kansas and Texas, and the FCSO, officers detained Truitt without incident. For Frederick County, his charges include three counts of 2nd-degree rape.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office has also charged Truitt federally for production of child pornography and for traveling interstate to engage in illicit sexual conduct. Truitt is expected to have an initial appearance on the federal charges in the coming weeks.

In addition to the rape charges in Maryland, Truitt is facing federal charges of production of child porn and traveling in interstate commerce for the purpose of engaging in illicit sexual conduct. It’s in that federal case against Truitt where details of his alleged crimes are explained in graphic detail, and Str8Up has obtained the affidavit from the Homeland Security agent involved in filing the criminal complaint.

According to the affidavit, authorities first became aware of Truitt after he actually called the police to report that the 13-year-old was being sexually abused by her stepfather. It’s not clear what became of that allegation (probably another one of Truitt’s deranged delusions), but as the investigation proceeded, police say they determined that Truitt—first posing as a 16-year-old—met his victim on a dating app, and then traveled across state lines multiple times to rape her. It’s alleged that Truitt claimed to be 21 years old after meeting the victim in person, and then eventually admitted to being 40. Truitt allegedly filmed himself raping the girl, and police say they have video evidence of the assaults after retrieving Truitt’s cell phone when he was arrested. Truitt is also accused of threatening to kill his victim’s mother.

As a warning, descriptions of the sexual assaults in this affidavit are disturbing:

It’s not yet clear if Leif Derek Truitt will face separate trials—one for the rape charges in state court, and one for the federal charges in the district court of Maryland—but all combined, Truitt faces up to 55 years in prison if convicted on all counts.

As many will recall, Truitt first made national headlines when Gawker published a story claiming that former Condé Nast CFO David Geithner was a closeted homosexual who hired a gay porn star (later revealed to be Truitt by Str8UpGayPorn) for a $2500 sexual encounter back in 2015. All hell broke loose, as it normally does, after the story was published, leading to Gawker having to remove the story due to public outrage over the outing, two Gawker editors resigning, and Truitt filing a $5,000,000 defamation lawsuit (which was eventually dismissed) against Geithner and Condé Nast. Geithner was removed from Condé Nast in 2019 and is still married to a woman, despite the allegations of paying Truitt for gay sex.

In the years since the Geithner incident, Truitt had a handful of gay porn scenes released while he used various social media accounts to share insane conspiracy theories and psychotic hate speech about gays burning in hell, school shootings, Vladimir Putin, the Pulse nightclub massacre, downed airliners, and Obama being the antichrist. Truitt’s next court dates have not yet been announced, but court schedules should be updated in the coming weeks.
