Gay Porn News Round-Up: Hustlaball Hustles Performers, Corbin Fisher Shades Sean Cody, Cole Connor Recovers From Violent Attack
Here’s a round-up of gay porn news over the last few days, including event disasters, studio rivalry, and one star’s recovery after being robbed in California.
—Cole Connor Violently Robbed In Hollywood
From San Francisco to San Diego, almost all of California has become a very dangerous place to live (not to mention completely unaffordable, as rents and home prices are out of reach for most of the middle class), with people regularly being attacked in broad daylight. Fan favorite performer Cole Connor was robbed and violently assaulted over the weekend, and he shared the video below to let people know how he’s doing:

Thankfully, it looks like he’ll have a full recovery, but his experience is an unfortunate reminder for everyone to be careful and aware of your surroundings at all times in the formerly “golden” state.

When I heard a few weeks ago that Hustlaball was asking gay porn stars to come and perform at the event without being paid, I thought it had to be a joke. (Side note: Was Falcon on board with this? Their name is on the flyer.) Turns out, it was actually true, and several performers attended (probably because, despite the lack of pay, they could still film content for their fan pages and socialize with fans and colleagues) the event without pay at the decrepit Artisan Hotel in Vegas. I went to this venue back in 2016 and it was already falling apart back then, so I have no idea how it’s still standing now. Not only were performers not paid to be there, they also had to pay for their own hotel rooms (are we sure this wasn’t a Lucas Entertainment event?), which came equipped with cockroaches, crumbling bathrooms, and rude staff, as Brock Banks revealed:

I guess it’s called Hustlaball for a reason, but the only person doing the hustling was the cheap promoter putting on the party.

As seen in the above tweet, Corbin Fisher wrote today, “Instead of pulling old episodes off the site, we’re remastering some of our most popular older episodes! Since it’s our 18th anniversary this week, here’s 6×3-ways – some available in full HD for the first time!” The first part of that statement is a not-so-subtle jab at rival studio Sean Cody, which pulled over 2,000 videos off their site that were released from 2001 through 2015. After the videos were deleted well over a year ago, Sean Cody had said they’d be putting them back online, but that unfortunately never happened. (Thank God I have all the best SC videos from 2001-2015 saved on various hard drives.)
