Ryan Rose Announces Gay Porn Retirement: “It’s Time To Find My Place In This Big, Beautiful World”
Way back in 2011, Ryan Rose made his gay porn debut on Sean Cody using a different name, “Pierce,” where he made history as the studio’s first model to perform in a bareback scene. After 14 Sean Cody scenes, more than 60 scenes as a Falcon Studios exclusive, multiple industry awards, and seven years of performing, Ryan Rose has announced his retirement from gay porn. The news comes after Rose filmed a co-production in Europe with BelAmi, and the announcement was posted to his Twitter earlier today:
While some might disagree with Ryan Rose calling himself “maybe the last real” porn star, I think there’s a great deal of truth to that. His flawless physique, movie star good looks, and performance skills made him the kind of total package we don’t see very much anymore. And, he’s one of the few performers to have had such a lengthy, loyal career while remaining exclusive at just two studios (Sean Cody and Falcon).

Adding to his “larger than life” persona was, of course, Ryan Rose’s bad boy image. He’s made controversial headlines over the years for arrests, break-ups, numerous Twitter wars, and even speaking out against Donald Trump. But, unlike some of his contemporaries, Rose was able to overcome his troubles, offered sincere apologies for his mistakes, and continued to turn in award-winning performances, including his recent Best Actor win at the Str8UpGayPorn Awards. And, he’ll be going out on the highest of highs with the BelAmi co-production, which will be released by NakedSword in September.
