Year In Review: Here Are The 100 Most Searched-For Gay Porn Stars Of 2018
Who was the most popular gay porn star of 2018? It’s time to find out!
When I checked these stats at the end of 2017, Alex Mecum came in at #1. And when I checked them during the mid-year report back in June, Alex Mecum was still king, coming in at #1 again. Did Alex hold on to the top spot for all of 2018, or did a new gay porn star end his reign? You’ll find out below.
As always, this list is based on internal stats and Google Analytics showing which gay porn star names generated the most page views referred from search engines. The higher a name appears on the list, the more people are searching for him online.
Fun facts: The studio with the most stars on the list is Sean Cody, with a whopping 16 among the top 100, and the legendary Stu ranking the highest. Despite retiring over five years ago, Mick Lovell is still in the top 10. In fact, many retired and deceased stars are on the list, including Kyle Dean, who died earlier this year. As usual, several gay porn stars currently in prison made the list, including Jarec Wentworth and Sebastian Young (whose case is still pending, with a trial scheduled for next year). Social media star turned gay porn star and comedian Chris Crocker is making his first appearance on the list, and he’s made a grand entrance by landing in the top 10. And finally, one of the biggest movers on the list is Boomer Banks, who came in at #73 last year, but has skyrocketed into the top 10 this year.
